AMANA PTACs

Amana’s core philosophy is to provide customers with high-quality products that are reliable, meet their needs and last longer than the rest. The Amana brand Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner (PTAC) is designed to provide quiet comfort and operation for hotels, hospitality properties and assisted living/senior facilities. Their acoustically engineered system enhancements include indoor tangential fan for quiet and even air distribution and a two-speed indoor motor for enhanced guest comfort. Additionally, the two-speed outdoor fan allows for lower overall sound as compared to units without this feature.

• Quiet Operation – Redesigned to be one of the industry’s quietest PTACs, it features two fan motors and an indoor tangential fan for quiet operation and optimal air distribution.
• Reliable Design – Engineered with R32 refrigerant, filter drier and high-pressure switch. All Amana PTACs are 100% run-tested at their plant, including leak checks during manufacturing as well as prior to shipment from their warehouse.
• Integrated Bluetooth – Using the new Amana mobile app, control your PTAC with the touch of a button. The app simplifies set-up and configuration and features integrated Eden™ connectivity (Eden accessories are sold separately). If the wall thermostat dies, the unit will still maintain the room’s temperature and the PTAC can be controlled from a phone app.

• R32 Refrigerant – R32 is easy to recycle and has a 30% lower GWP than R410A. Like R410A, R32 has a zero ozone depletion potential and is easy to charge and recover. Its increased efficiency over R410A means the air conditioner will use less refrigerant than previous models, thus improving its environmental impact over the life of the product.

Amana PTACs now require a wall thermostat to operate. Touch pad temperature controls will no longer be included and instead the K and J series come factory installed with an antenna to communicate with wall thermostat. If the wall thermostat dies, the unit will still maintain the rooms temperature and the PTAC can be controlled from an app – this is intended for emergencies only while the wall thermostat is out of service.
